BaZi Compatibility Calculator by Birth Date
Enter your birth date and your partner's. You get both Day Masters, how your elements meet, what your spouse palaces form, and what your shio form, all from the same tables SPYLL Chemistry reads.
What two birth dates can tell
- Day Master
- The stem of your day pillar, the part of a BaZi chart that stands for you. Its element sets how you meet your partner's.
- Day Master combination
- Five stem pairs bind each other (甲己, 乙庚, 丙辛, 丁壬, 戊癸). Two Day Masters in one pair carry a built-in pull.
- Spouse palace
- The branch under your Day Master, the seat BaZi reserves for a partner. Two palaces can combine, clash, or form nothing.
- Shio
- The year branch, turning at Li Chun (around 4 February), not at Imlek. It is one of eight characters, so it weighs less than the palace.
Branch pairs that combine and clash
These two tables apply to the spouse palace and to the shio alike. SPYLL grades clashes as Chemistry does: 寅申 and 巳亥 hit hardest, 辰戌 and 丑未 softest.

What birth dates alone cannot answer
Which years run strongest or riskiest for the two of you, how your luck pillars line up, and the spouse star (男財女官) all need the birth hour and each person's gender. SPYLL Chemistry reads them from both full charts.

FAQ
What does this BaZi compatibility calculator check?
From two birth dates it reads each Day Master and how the two elements meet, whether the two Day Masters combine or clash, what the two spouse palaces (day branches) form, and what the two shio form. Each of these comes from a fixed table, so the same dates always give the same answer.
Why is there no compatibility score here?
A score needs both full charts: year, month, day and hour pillars, each person's gender for the spouse star, and both sets of luck pillars. SPYLL Chemistry reads all of that once you and your partner each take the quiz. This page shows what two birth dates alone can tell.
Does a clash in the spouse palace mean we are not meant to be?
No. A clash (冲) marks a seat that keeps moving, which shows up as different rhythms or plans that change. One branch relation does not decide whether a relationship lasts, since the other pillars and both sets of luck pillars count too, so use the clash to see where your friction comes from.
Do I need my birth time?
No, the day pillar comes from the date. The one exception is a birth from 23:00 to midnight: SPYLL turns the day at 23:00, as the 子平 school does, so tick the box and the next day's pillar is used. The 夜子时 school keeps the same day, so births in that hour can carry a different Day Master depending on the school.
How is this different from weton compatibility?
Weton jodoh adds the Javanese neptu of a 35-day cycle and divides by 7. BaZi reads a 60-day cycle of stems and branches and the five elements behind them. Both start from the birth date, and they answer different questions.
