The quiz and the report
How long does it take?
The quiz has 8 questions: 5 check the reading of your chart, 3 are everyday situations. It usually takes about 5 minutes, then your report takes 1-2 minutes
What if I don't know my birth time?
No problem, you can still take the quiz. Tick “Not sure” and your chart is read from your birth date and quiz answers. The other three pillars still work, only the hour pillar stays empty
How is SPYLL different from a regular personality test?
SPYLL doesn't stop at one label. Your birth patterns from BaZi and Zi Wei Dou Shu are read together with modern psychology, so you get a picture of how you think, feel and act in one report
What can I read for free?
After the quiz, the first 3 of the 11 chapters of your report open for free, together with your four pillars chart. The other 8 open after a one-time payment. The calculators on this site (BaZi, zodiac animal, weton and BaZi compatibility) are free and need no sign-up.
Can I open my result again later?
Yes. Sign in again with the same email and your report is there whenever you want it
How SPYLL calculates
Why can my SPYLL zodiac animal differ from the Lunar New Year one?
BaZi starts the year at Li Chun (立春), the start of spring, which falls around 3 to 5 February. Lunar New Year follows the new moon, so its date moves every year. If you were born between the two dates, your BaZi animal can differ from the one on the lunar calendar.
Why does SPYLL ask for my birth city?
To work out true solar time. Clock time follows the time zone, while the BaZi hour pillar follows the sun's position where you were born, so SPYLL adjusts your birth time by the city's longitude before setting the hour pillar.
I was born after 23:00. Which day pillar do I get?
SPYLL turns the day at 23:00 true solar time, at the start of the Rat hour (子), as the 子平 school does. A birth at 23:30 already takes the next day's pillar. Another school waits for midnight, and both conventions are recognised.
How accurate are SPYLL's calculations?
The SPYLL engine's four pillars are checked against other calculators and against astronomical tables. The results, including the parts that are not as exact as the pillars yet, are written out on the author page.
Chemistry and compatibility
How does Chemistry work?
Once you and your partner each finish the quiz, share the invite link to connect both profiles. SPYLL reads how your birth elements and behaviour patterns interact to show where you click, what sets off misunderstandings, and how to talk it through
Does my partner or friend need to take the quiz too?
Yes. Chemistry reads how two people interact, so both need to enter their birth date and take the quiz for an accurate reading
How is the BaZi Compatibility Calculator different from Chemistry?
The BaZi Compatibility Calculator is free and needs only two birth dates. It shows how your day pillars and zodiac animals relate, without a score. Chemistry reads both full charts plus each person's quiz answers, so it can give a compatibility score and the strong and risky years for the two of you.
Payment and account
Is it a one-time payment or a subscription?
You pay once per report, with no monthly bill and no automatic renewal. The current price is on the pricing page.
How can I pay?
With QRIS in rupiah, which you can pay from GoPay, OVO, DANA, ShopeePay or a mobile banking app, or with Visa, Mastercard or PayPal. For buyers in Indonesia, the card price includes the card fee.
Can I get a refund?
No. Every SPYLL purchase is final and cannot be refunded. Before paying, you can read the first 3 chapters of your report to judge whether it is for you.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Your result opens only through the email or Google account you signed up with, and we don't sell or share your answers
I paid but my report has not opened. What now?
Email [email protected] from the address you signed up with, attach the payment proof or Order ID, and we will open your access.
I think a calculation is wrong. Where do I report it?
Send the birth date, time and city to [email protected]. We check it against the engine, and if it is wrong, we fix the calculation.
